The Illusion of Power

Sitemeter is an amazing toy. This toy just became a whole lot more fun since I found another site, or at least a certain feature on a familiar website. Mapquest has a little feature that allows you to search for places by latitude and longitude which, in and of itself is cool, but coupled [...]

A picture place.

After trying repeatedly to find a template for my blog that looked like my old one (with a picture instead of text), I finally gave up and tried to figure out Blogger Widgets…I didn’t get what I wanted, but I got a picture! It’s one I can change more often since I can put [...]

Vinegar?

Customers all have their own little quirks, but some are bordering on the crazy line. That crazy line can be reached even when the customer is nice, but they’re still weird.I cleaned for one of those people last week and it was definitely a new experience (that was the first time I was there). After [...]

Vinegar…

In regards to what will be a slightly later post (due to the nifty tool that lets you mess with times) Here is a good picture.

It doesn’t smell bad, and I’ve found it works beautifully for getting scuff marks off of carpet. And this will sound like I’ve lost my mind, but I like bleach better [...]

Glittering Like Pounds of Ice

While putzing around on the internet I found these picture albums of an ice storm that hit the Lake Geneva Switzerland area in 2005.

These have many of the same [...]

How DO I do it?

This is what happened today when I tried to make some buns out of the bread dough. They were half an inch thick when they went in and they came out about 3 inches high. The “buns” were almost perfectly spherical. It’s so weird.I’m assuming they didn’t rise enough before I put them [...]

Random Musical.

While putzing around making dinner tonight I started singing “Lets Go Fly a Kite” from Mary Poppins. Not very loud, but I did.I have no idea why, normally the random musical outbursts have a trigger, like someone saying something that sounds just like, or near enough to, a song that makes you just *have* [...]

My Title IS:

My Peculiar Aristocratic Title is: Her Eminence the Very Viscountess Katelyn the Ingenious of Old Yarkhillshire Get your Peculiar Aristocratic Title

My Fortune Cookie told me: This week you will be invited to join an extremist organisation who are out to rid the planet [...]

Just one of those things…

Every time I read The Sherwood Ring I am reminded how much I love that book. I don’t know why but it has to be one of my absolute favorite books. What can beat the Christmas Venetian Glasses episode?
One of my favorite pieces of the book is the characters themselves. Even [...]
