The pet’s crate, which they will travel in, will have to be roomy enough for the animal, allowing them to stand, lie down or move around with sufficient room for comfort. The crate must have a locking system that is secure and must have stickers that sat “Live Animal” notifying people of the animal’s presence. The crate must have a food and water dish connected and these dishes must be capable of being filled from the outside of the crate, without requiring the crate to be opened. Traveling by car is the easiest way to travel with your pet. Car travel is much more comfortable for your pet, as they changes in air pressure and temperature aren’t factors. Your pet has probably even ridden in your car before, making it a little less stressful for your pet. Be sure to stop every few hours so your dog can go to the bathroom, eat, and stretch. Make sure your dog has a comfortable place to rest with a familiar blanket or pillow.
