Farm Coins and Farm Cash

There are two general types of money in Farmville: Farm Coins and Farm Cash. Farm Cash is a new type of money. The Farmer can acquire unique Farmville items if they have this type of money. A unique item called the Flying Saucer can only be purchased with Farm Cash during the Alien Invasion in Farmville. Buildings like the Tea House, Groovy Barn and Pagoda all require that you save up your Farm Cash or buy more on your account.

You can add both Farm Coins and Farm Cash to your Farmville account, but it will cost you real cash through your credit card or Paypal. Currently, Visa, Mastercard and American Express are accepted as payment. I recommend using money only on Farm Cash; with a relatively short time investment you can effortlessly save up plenty of coins for other objects.

Coins

Coins are the basic run of the mill currency that you will deal with most of the time. You need coins when you plow, plant and buy some objects for your farm. Your harvests are all in coins; when you harvest milk from a cow, you get coins into your account balance at the top left of your screen. It is the same for trees; whenever you harvest an cherry tree, you don’t receive cherries, you get coins. Keeping an eye on your balance will help you in deciding what crops to plant. Sometimes you have to decide between planting a whole farm of a low-priced crop or growing only a few squares of ahigh-priced one. To find out which particular crop is giving you the most bang for your buck, always keep your calculator on hand.

Farm Cash

$1 is credited to your account everyday. I really suggest that you hold onto your [Farm cash] and buy with your coins instead. Remember to think carefully before using your FarmCash. There are rare farmville animals during events, fuel for your vehicles, special buildings—a lot of items that can only be bought with Farm cash. Save it until you certainly need it!!!  Only use it for special items during special ocassions which will help collect more unusual items. Wise purchases include unique animals like the Baby Turkey which appeared during the Thanksgiving (although there is a Wild Turkey also available during this event as a Lost Animal), decorations only offered during a certain event, as well as whatever items that you decide your farm can’t do without. Getting rare objects will help you show your unique character.

If you will buy vehicles such as a tractor or seeder, be prepared to handle the price of fuel. For your vehicle to serve its purpose, it needs to be gassed up. Otherwise it will simply be a pricey ornament. You need to consider using your real cash to buy Farm Cash if you are building a huge farm with several vehicles.
