House cats. Eight tips for keeping indoor cats happy

The number of domestic cats is increasing. More and more cat owners are deciding that it is not safe for your cat to go outside unsupervised, cars, other animals, poisons and malicious people are just a few reasons.

Indoor cats can lead very happy lives, but it must be entertained more than outdoor cats. If domestic cats are not stimulated enough bored and may become stressed or have behavioral problems such as cat scratching the furniture and ignoring his litter box.

Here are eight tips to keep house cat happy and entertained:

1. Make sure you have plenty of toys for cats. Should have toys in every room. To add interest, break their toys in two or three lots and rotate them every few days.

2. Get some good cat furniture. A pole from scratch is a necessity. Two or three different areas of the house is even better. If you can afford, cat trees and cat condos are great for domestic cats entertainment. If you're on a tight budget, you can use a floor jack boxes, carpets, records, etc.

3. Use catnip. If your cat likes catnip, sprinkle it around your scraper, bedding and other favorite areas.

4. Provide your cat seats near the windows. Cats love to see what is happening outside and sit in the sun. Window views on the ground floor with garden or on the street is probably the most entertaining that higher levels of the house.

5. Grow some catnip in a pot. This is a good substitute for eating grass outside.

6. Get a DVD made specifically for cats. Yes there are! Some cats love it and some are not interested, but are relatively inexpensive so it is worth trying.

7. Use a screensaver with tropical fish swimming team -. Some cats love this cat is like TV final.

8. Teach your cat to walk on a leash. This takes time and patience, but if you can then can take your house cats outdoors safely.
